ITF and UNI renew global deal with DHL

ニュース

In July 2016 the logistics giant first agreed to commit to continued dialogue, with the parties meeting four times a year to settle issues in a mutually acceptable manner to avoid future problems.

This protocol has now been extended until December 2019, when it will be reviewed again.

ITF general secretary Steve Cotton said: "This dialogue as agreed is a big win for all. We have shown over the first year of this agreement that it can work. All parties are working together to ensure accountability, and a platform of mutual trust has begun to develop.”

The board member for human resources at Deutsche Post-DHL, Melanie Kreis, agreed that the protocol had led to meaningful dialogue, and DHL intends to use the process to further build trust to ensure open discussions.

All three parties have published a joint statement confirming the new deal.

The protocol was achieved as a result of a campaign by the ITF and UNI that called on DHL to respect its workers worldwide.
