Say no to violence

Taking action to protect transport workers

Because of the work they do, transport workers are especially vulnerable to abuse and violence. This includes attacks related to gender, race or religion.

Violence should not be part of everyday life and transport workers must be the driving force for a safer working life.

It’s time for unions to take action

The ITF has plenty of resources to help you take action.

Booklets, leaflets and handouts

We have produced a booklet to help union activists and educators identify the causes of violence - and the solutions.

There's also a leaflet to distribute among workers that has been produced in over 20 different languages.

Add impact to a seminar or workplace meeting with this short introductory film. It shows how transport workers and unions are already saying no to violence.

What are your experiences?

Ending work-related violence will only be possible with the organisation and mobilisation of transport workers.

If your workers are at risk from any kind of violence, how is your union taking steps to support them and solve the problem? Let us know
