In August 2018 the International Labour Organization (ILO) formed the Global Commission on the Future of Work. On 22 January 2019 it published its findings in the report 'Work for a brighter future', which claims to examine "how to achieve a better future of work for all at a time of unprecedented change and exceptional challenges in the world of work."
In this series of articles, people at the ITF debate the report's main recommendations. They find there is much in the report that is welcome for transport workers, and talk about what will need to happen to put the report’s best proposals into practice. The articles will appear here as they are published.
