New technologies are changing transport, the economy, politics and unionism. The landscape of work has also changed significantly due to the impact of the global pandemic, COVID-19. The ITF is leading a number of affiliate, regional and global activities that address the impact of new technologies on the future of work.

Under the direction of the Young Transport Workers Officer, the Future of Work Advisor will work with key stakeholders to develop and deliver an organisation-wide strategy to coordinate the delivery of the ITF’s work plans and activities concerning the future of work, in line with these three new strategic directions.

This role would suit an innovative, analytical professional, with excellent communication skills, with proven experience of problem solving and knowledge of the transport industry. Experience of working with international organisations and governance bodies on technology changes and its impacts is key.  Due to the ever-changing landscape of the modern day working environment, this role needs an individual with the dynamism to help the organisation adapt and thrive in an increasingly technological world. 

Due to the international aspects of the organisation’s work, a good working knowledge of another language would be an advantage.

This role offers a salary of £50,510 per annum, plus a non-performance related guaranteed bonus equating to 1/12th of your annual salary.
