ITF statement: Go Bus must end pathetic lockout

The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) is calling on the New Zealand bus company Go Bus to unconditionally end its lockout of bus drivers for exercising their right to take action to demand a living wage. The drivers had voted to stop taking fare money from passengers to show that they cannot continue to live on such low wages.

Agreement on minimum wage for seafarers announced

Geneva – 19-20 November 2018: The social partners, namely the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), convened in Geneva at the Joint Maritime Commission (JMC) subcommittee on seafarers wages to review the International Labour Organization (ILO) Minimum Wage for an Able Seafarer (AB) provided for in Code B of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (as amended).

ITF demands stronger corporate accountability at OECD

The ITF has contributed to a trade union advisory committee (TUAC) roundtable at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France, focused on the role of due diligence, social dialogue and corporate accountability mechanisms.
