Joint press statement on the constructive working relationship established in Latin America between the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), UNI Global Union and Deutsche Post DHL Group

At a recent meeting in Bogota, Colombia in November 2019 representatives from the parties reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration and continued dialogue.

The DHL/ITF LATAM Network’s primary aim is to foster cooperation and dialogue between DHL and the ITF and its affiliates across the region. After an initial meeting between ITF and DHL representatives in Panama in October 2016, it was formally established in April 2018. Since then, it has provided a platform for regular discussions on various topics of interest between the parties, helping to build mutual trust and fostering overall positive relationships across the whole region.

The recent announcements on labour legislation changes in Brazil and Mexico will now provide opportunities for a continuous constructive engagement between the parties based on experiences in the other countries in the region.
