Vacancy: Global Administrator – (LAS)

ITF is an international federation of transport workers’ trade unions recognised as the world’s leading transport authority. We fight passionately to improve working lives, connecting trade unions from 150 countries that may otherwise be isolated and helping their members to secure rights, equality, and justice. We are the voice for 20 million members working men and women across the world. The ITF Head Office is based in Borough, London. International offices include Amman, Hong Kong, Montreal, Nairobi, New Delhi, Abidjan, Rio de Janeiro, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney and Panama.

This Global Administrator role supports the Civil Aviation and Tourism Services, Inland Transport (Road, Rail and Urban Transport), Campaigns, and Union Building teams, and is a challenging opportunity for the successful candidate to join a dynamic and proactive team. Candidates will possess strong administrative and organisational skills, including experience of diary management, arranging international meetings and travel bookings, and managing correspondence on behalf of senior colleagues. Strong drafting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the motivation and ability to forward plan in order to manage a high-volume workload with competing deadlines are essential in this role. Candidates should see themselves as team players with the ability to work independently, displaying resilience and initiative in solving day-to-day problems with limited direction.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential, with a demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and various stakeholders. Knowledge of organising meetings in hybrid and virtual settings, and managing complex itineraries and calendars are essential. Experience of writing reports and taking minutes are advantageous. Candidates are expected to be confident with Microsoft Office – particularly Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word, and familiar with Zoom. Due to the international aspects of the organisation’s work, a good working knowledge of another language is preferred.

Further details about the role and the person specification are found in the attached Job Description.
