Safe rates planning in Argentina

news

The ITF road section chair Tony Sheldon has been in Argentina to learn about the Agua Negra tunnel project.

He spoke with Hugo Moyano and Omar Perez of the Camioneros union about the risks and opportunities of the tunnel. They discussed the campaign for safe rates of pay for truck drivers and the risk of wages being forced down in the region by the project.

The Agua Negra Tunnel is being constructed through the Andes mountain range to link Argentina and Chile.
