Venezuela and Guyana ITF affiliates working for peace

International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) affiliated unions from Venezuela and Guyana that met in Rio de Janeiro to debate current border issues between both nations have signed a joint declaration to promote actions for a positive dialogue for the benefit of both nations.

Report sets out women seafarers' health and wellbeing concerns

A new report designed to identify key areas of concern for women seafarers will be the centrepiece of a meeting on the health and wellbeing of women working at sea, to be held in London tomorrow. The new Women Seafarers’ Health and Welfare Survey is a joint initiative by the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN), the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), the International Maritime Health Association (IMHA), and the Seafarers Hospital Society (SHS).

Where’s your pension money going? Workers’ capital explained

This week members of the global unions Committee on Workers’ Capital (CWC) met at the ITF in London. The committee is a joint initiative of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), the Trade Union Advisory Committee of the OECD (TUAC) and the Global Union Federations (GUFs).
