UN Tourism and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) have partnered to produce the Global Report on Women in Tourism Transport. The report provides a comprehensive global overview of women’s participation in tourism transport employment for the first time, covering four key passenger industries: air, road, rail, and water.
It highlights women’s roles, challenges, and opportunities across the sector, examines persistent gender gaps and barriers to career entry and advancement, and puts forward practical, actionable recommendations to support more inclusive, fair, and equitable employment in tourism transport.
