Severe floods and landslides have swept through Nepal and the border region of China, leaving entire villages destroyed, homes buried under mud and communities have been cut off. Thousands of people are missing.
Transport workers are on the frontlines of this disaster.
Many have lost their homes, their livelihoods or access to their workplaces. Roads, bridges, ports and rail lines have suffered extensive damage. Power and water systems have been disrupted, leaving tens of thousands without access to basic services or food.
As rescue and relief efforts continue, workers and their families need urgent support.
