‘Hands off our right to strike’ demand unions in global campaign

Global union federations and their affiliated unions around the world today mounted an intensive campaign to defend the unalienable right to strike, which is under attack from employer groups at the ILO (International Labour Organization).

ITF watchful over Georgia rail agreement

The ITF welcomed an agreement reached on 3 December between the Georgian Railway Workers' New Trade Union (GRWNTU) and JSC Georgian Railway but warned it would be keeping an eye on the situation because the company had disregarded previous agreements.

Leave agreements alone, global unions warn

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) have criticised train operator Aurizon after it asked Australia’s industrial relations tribunal, the Fair Work Commission, to overturn 14 negotiated Enterprise Agreements, covering over 5,000 railway workers in Queensland.
