Transport workers hold twin rallies for peace

Transport workers from Guyana and Venezuela staged simultaneous rallies for peace in each country on Thursday.
The workers, from ITF-affiliated unions, protested in front of the embassy of Guyana in Caracas and the embassy of Venezuela in Georgetown, to demand a peaceful resolution to border problems between the two nations.

Young workers set out Caribbean campaign agenda

Twenty-six young workers gathered at the Barbados Workers’ Union labour college last week for the first ever seminar specifically for young workers in the Caribbean. The event focused on developing strategic campaigns, as well as on organising skills, educational methods and building a regional network.
