ITF and ITUC give guarded welcome to Iran releases

Their release from custody follows protests to the Iranian government by both organisations and a Labourstart campaign demanding their freedom. The ITF and ITUC continue to campaign for the dismissal of the trumped up charges made against the men for carrying out lawful trade union activities, as well as for the release of Mahmoud Salehi. A member of the Coordinating Committee to Help Form Workers' Organizations, he is believed to still be in custody.
