Ratified Countries

The ITF is building support for unions around the world to lobby governments for the ratification and implementation of C190. Lobbying governments and achieving ratification in any country is a collective effort, and we are closely working with the ITUC and other Global Union Federations to build strong, coordinated national campaigns.

Ratification is a crucial, but it is only the beginning—the work of unions continues beyond that to ensure the convention is meaningfully implemented, made accessible and monitored.

We are building and strengthening union capacity to engage in national tripartite dialogues and to monitor and report on implementation progress to the ILO.

We are working to support unions to ensure that transport workers' voices are central to these efforts and the issues key to transport workers—like  commute to and from work, third-party violence, informal work, and unsafe public spaces—are reflected in ratification discussions and national implementation plans.

Through this approach, we aim to ensure C190 delivers real change for transport industry.
