ITF Americas

Solidarity with American transport unions

ITF Americas is our Inter-American regional office, representing more than 100 unions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
We fight for the trade union rights of transport workers and build solidarity. We assist unions to run successful campaigns and oppose transport privatisations.

We aim to

  • Help ITF unions build strong structures that are vigilant and can take action against the negative influence of large corporations.
  • Move unions away from company-based unions to national industrial unions
  • Promote co-operation and mergers to give transport unions more power.

The ITF Americas office is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
