ITF welcomes dialogue opportunity over workers’ rights at Qatar Airways

According to the invitation received from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor & Social Affairs in Qatar to the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) a delegation from the ITF visited Qatar and held several meetings on the 19 July with officials from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor & Social Affairs, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and officials from Qatar Airways. During the meetings they discussed the issues previously raised by the ITF concerning workers in Qatar Airways.

The delegation noted good progress during the tour in Qatar Airways, and in the facilities provided for workers in accommodation and housing.

It was agreed that the parties would continue to engage in dialogue.
