ITF condemns Ouagadougou attacks and mourns union activist

Joe Katende, ITF Africa regional secretary, commented: “We utterly condemn this act of terrorism against ordinary citizens and workers.

 

“This news was very shocking, and in particular the loss of one of our comrades. Many international trade unionists stay at the Hotel Splendid during their missions to Burkina Faso and we all know it and the staff there well.

 

“Our hearts go out to all the victims and their families, and to all the workers who were affected by this outrage. “
