The congress of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) employees union has heard about the ITF's Our Public Transport programme and how it can become more involved.
The DTC is the main public transport bus operator in Delhi with nearly 30,000 regular and contract workers.
Sangam Tripathy, ITF Asia Pacific assistant regional secretary, told the participants that the Our Public Transport programme actively campaigns for public transport based on public ownership, public investment, secure jobs and union rights for workers in public and private employers.
