Hundreds of dockworkers from ETF and ITF-affiliated unions will demonstrate tomorrow in front of the offices of Northern European logistics company Unifeeder in Aarhus, Denmark for allowing seafarers to lash and unlash their charted vessels. This is in direct contravention of the ITF dockers’ clause which specifically reserves lashing and unlashing work for dockers.

Next Monday 5 December trade union representatives and leaders from 42 countries worldwide will join a rally in central Brussels against the European Union’s proposed fourth railway package.

ITF union the SNTT (Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de Rama, Servicios de la Industria del Transporte y Logística de Colombia) has negotiated the first collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with major transport company Transcaribe in Cartagena, as part of an ongoing project in Colombia supported by the ITF.

The ITF has raised concerns over the treatment by Aras Cargo in Turkey of employees who are members of the ITF union Tümtis.
