Global road transport unions meeting in London today welcomed the peaceful return to work of Kenyan drivers and reinforced the call for union rights at Kuwait-based company Agility logistics.

Just over half the participants in an annual seminar for cruise ship workers run by ITF affiliates and the federation chose to take HIV tests to raise awareness of the importance of seafarers knowing their status.

A solidarity mission of eight ITF women trade unionists from four countries led a full week of activity in Quito, Ecuador from 7-13 March in support of Jimena Lopez, general secretary and founder of the SITA (Sindicato de Trabajadores de Aerolane) union.
