“On behalf of the 18 million transport workers of the ITF, I send support and solidarity to the workers of Belgium in their campaign to win a fair share of their countries wealth.
“At the ITF we are all working to create a more just world, where all workers are properly rewarded for their role in creating economic growth. We take inspiration from our brothers and sisters in Belgium in their fight to build a better, fairer country.
“We must stop the trend of falling wages while profits grow. We must stop the reduction of work place benefits and the spread of precarious work. We demand good jobs with good conditions in Belgium, Europe and across the world.
“I wish the national strike, and our friends at the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) who are joining the action, every success.”
