ATSEP Day: Time to Thank the Aviation Experts Keeping Us Safe

NACHRICHTEN

On Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel Day, the ITF thanks the dedicated community at the heart of global aviation.

Today, the ITF Civil Aviation Section proudly celebrates Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel Day (ATSEP) Day and the thousands of aviation professionals worldwide who ensure the safety and reliability of air navigation services.

ATSEPs are the skilled experts behind the systems, surveillance networks, communications infrastructure, and data flows that keep aircraft safely separated and operations running smoothly. ATSEPs are essential to the modern aviation ecosystem.

Their technical expertise, rapid problem-solving, and unwavering commitment to system integrity support every controller, every airport, and every flight.

From highly complex hub operations to remote and regional airspace, aviation simply doesn’t function without them.

"The ITF Civil Aviation Section extends sincere and deep thanks to the ATSEP community worldwide for their dedication, professionalism, and service to global aviation,” said Bilal Malkawi, ITF Acting Civil Aviation Secretary.

“As the industry continues to evolve with automation, digitalisation, remote operations, and new entrants, ATSEPs will remain critical in ensuring that innovation strengthens safety, not compromises it.”
