Campaigning in logistics companies

Transport workers move goods on water, on land and by air. Many of these essential jobs are valued the way they should be, with fair pay, robust working conditions and respect for fundamental rights. In other cases, however, workers are treated as cogs in a machine rather than as people.

Logistics companies play a major role in moving goods for their customers all over the world. The ITF has a strong track record in winning campaigns against those companies which violate workers’ rights, forcing them to the bargaining table to raise labour standards. For example, in recent years our adversarial relationship with DHL has evolved into a productive dialogue based on the DHL Protocol.

Wherever logistics companies operate along supply chains across different locations, the ITF will be there to ensure that workers’ rights are respected.
