Stop the sacking of air traffic controllers in the Dominican Republic

NACHRICHTEN 10 Feb 2015

Members of the ITF’s affiliated air traffic controllers’ union in the Dominican Republic, ADCA, have faced sackings, demotions and harassment including arrests in their quest to make the authorities address safety issues.

Sacked workers undertaking peaceful protests have been arrested on four occasions in the last two weeks and union officials have also been taken into custody. The ITF Americas regional secretary, Antonio Fritz, was arrested and subsequently released on 9 February.
