Airport organising programme

Airport workers fighting for a more sustainable industry

Are you an airport worker?

Then you’ll know that while the aviation industry is making record profits, it’s cutting back on pay and jobs for those doing the hard work.

Airport workers all over the world face work intensification, falling wages, insecure and unsustainable working patterns.

That’s why we’ve launched an airport organising programme that brings together baggage handling, maintenance, check-in, cleaning, security and other workers in each airport into one network – with a mission to improve the industry and secure recognition and decent work for all those who work in it.

We are organising across airports to hold the airlines and airports – as the real economic employers – to account.  We’re fighting for real, safe jobs with genuine employers. We want you to join us.

Who are we?

We are a group of ITF-affiliated airport activists and organisers, representing workers in airports all over the world. We’re dedicated to building union power in airports in order to fight the forces that have created a race to the bottom, and the deterioration in airport jobs.

We know that low fares, safe travel and decent work are all possible. We want nothing less than a fair deal for airport workers, with the safe and real jobs that we deserve.
