Women in railways: share your views

أخبار

As part of the ITF Railway Global Action Week, 27 March – 3 April 2022, we are launching an online survey specifically targeted for women railway workers.

At the ITF, we believe strongly in championing the role women railway workers play in the industry. We know women deserve all the same rights and dignity as men in the workplace, but sadly this is not the reality for many. Our survey aims to identify in what roles and where women railway workers are employed and under what types of contracts, the issues and barriers they face in the workplace and what changes they would need to make the railway sector more accommodating for them.

Women railway workers in all parts of the rail industry are invited to complete this confidential online survey. This includes women railway workers both passenger and freight transport as well as urban passenger rail, intercity rail, and cross-border rail.

It only takes about 15 minutes to complete the survey and responses are completely anonymous. It is open until 30 June 2022.

The survey is available in 16 languages: Arabic, Bahasa, Bulgarian English, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Tamil and Thai.
