Dorothy Nandera is the Secretary for Youth in Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union (ATGWU Uganda).

She is working with Entebbe Handling Services (ENHAS) as a Team Leader in the Passenger Handling Services Department. She is also a shop steward representing the workers in ENHAS.

Dorothy has earned the respect of her peers and trust of union members in her services rendered to the union.

Enhancing the challenges faced by the young transport workers, she attributes her successes to being a good team player, integrity, perseverance and commitment.

While looking towards the future, Dorothy plans to organize and recruit more young workers into the union so that it continues growing from strength to strength and expanding as we build union power. She also looks at improving on ITF visibility at workplaces.

Dorothy calls upon all young transport workers to join unions as she describes it as young trees growing together to make the forest.
