The ITF received these messages after the announcement of the Solidar Award and the release of Gholamreza Gholamhosseini in September 2008:
"Thanks a lot for sharing this information with us. We hope and pray that the Iranian government will one day come to its real senses and accordingly release comrade Osanloo from prison. Our hearts go to comrade Osanloo, his friends and his family members. ... We have to pray for the release of Comrade Osanloo from prison and accordingly continue to expose the human rights abuses perpetrated by the tyrants of Iran. SATAWU says that workers rights are human rights."
- Ephraim
"Delighted we can help make a difference to those non-violent oppressed people who stand up to represent other voices. Keep pushing for our good friend Osanloo, may common sense prevail there too soon. ... Really pleased of the award but as depressed to know that he will not even be allowed to see his family nor fellow workers on that very special occasion, please pass that message to him."
- Arlette
"Excellent news and richly deserved!"
- Annabelle
"Congratulations, great victory"
- Erika
