TNT Justice

TNT is the world’s fourth largest express package company and the world’s second largest logistics company.

In December 2005 the company announced that it intended to sell off its logistics business that employs 36,000 workers worldwide.  Workers at the company want a guarantee that their wages, conditions, entitlements and job security will not be sold off as part of the sale.

With the sale of TNT shareholders will see the value of their investments soar while workers futures are put at risk.  Under the umbrella of Global Unions ITF and UNI, TNT workers are calling on current management and any future buyers to commit to the TNT Guarantee of Global Workers’ Rights to protect their futures.

These fair standards call on TNT to provide security to their workforce by:

- Sharing all key information on any proposed sale with workers;
- Maintaining maximum job security;
- Keeping existing pay, conditions, and retirement programs;
- Maintaining rights of union representation and membership activity;
- Guaranteeing all workers the right to freely choose a union and the union’s access to workers;
- Setting up a process to monitor and enforce company compliance with these standards.

We are asking you to use the Take Action link on this site to send an urgent email to TNT CEO telling him that workers’ rights are not for sale and that workers around the world are uniting to ensure that these standards form part of any sale agreement.
