Dear Mr. Kotil

I am writing to protest at the arbitrary sacking of ten ground staff in Ankara Airport by Turkish Airlines, all members of Hava-is, the ITF's aviation affiliate in Turkey.

I understand that these sackings come just prior to collective bargaining negotiations, and as such appear to be an attempt to intimidate the entire union workforce.

I fully support Hava-is's campaign against the unfair dismissal of its members and urge you to intervene in this dispute with the aim of reinstating the workers and entering into collective bargaining negotiations that are both freely and fairly conducted.

Thank you for your attention

Yours sincerely
