The ITF Seafarers Trust was established by the ITF Executive Board in 1981 as a body with charitable status under UK law. It is dedicated to the spiritual, moral and physical welfare of seafarers irrespective of nationality, race or creed.  more >>

Trust strategy 2008-09
This strategy is based upon the recommendations and findings of the Cardiff University SIRC report "Port Based Welfare Facilities for Seafarers" by Dr Erol Kahveci, which was published in July 2007 and is available on the Trust website.

Seafarers
The ITF has been helping seafarers since 1896 and today represents the interests of seafarers worldwide, of whom over 600,000 are members of ITF affiliated unions.
