The labour movement has put “organising” at the heart of everything that it does. Unionists must undertake this most central of tasks if they are to rebuild the labour movement, build membership, create involved and pro-active trade unions, and ensure workers have the power to influence, employers, regulators and others. With its “organising globally” strategy, launched at its Durban congress in 2006, the ITF has committed to become involved in delivering this philosophy.
