Congress website goes live

19 July 2010

The ITF’s congress website, containing all the latest information directly from the event in Mexico, was launched today.

The website of the ITF’s congress in Mexico City from 5-12 August consists of Congress News, documents and information, which will, during the course of the event, be brought to both delegates and those unable to attend. The site also contains a blogging area where participants and non-participants can leave their comments.

For the first time, the ITF is also using an auto-translation tool to ensure that content is quickly available to more affiliates.

In addition, there will also be a space for participants’ own photos and film through the ITF’s Flickr and YouTube pages.

Jake Woodward, ITF web editor, commented: “We’ve designed the website to offer our affiliates a wide range of content and information so that those who aren’t attending can experience congress first-hand and stay in touch with developments as they happen. We’re also looking for keen bloggers writing in English or Spanish who can give us their own perspective on congress.”
