Hebei Spirit officers remain detained

The two officers found innocent of causing an oil spillage on the tanker Hebei Spirit will have to stay in South Korea until the appeals process is exhausted, which may be another year. The two men could also face a retrial.

The ITF joined those who called on South Korea to allow Captain Jasprit Chalwa and Chief Officer Syam Chetan to return home.
