Global Delivery Network

What is it?

The global delivery network brings together union activists from the big global delivery firms, such as DHL, UPS, Fedex and TNT. Through the mapping of union strength in strategic locations and sharing best practice, news about wins and struggles as well as intelligence on the global delivery multi-nationals, network members support the building of solidarity and expansion of union rights in the world’s largest logistics firms.

The global delivery network is also organised along company lines to allow for specific activities and concerns to be channelled and dealt with. For example DHL network members raise awareness and practical support about their DHL RESPECT campaign.

“Only coordinated global action can effectively challenge a multinational company.”
Kenan Ozturk, TUMTIS president, speaking about the UPS dispute in Turkey

“The global delivery network can react quickly to events where necessary. But its real importance lies in strategic organising to protect workers’ rights.”
Ingo Marowksy, Organising Globally Coordinator
