About the ETF Women’s Committee

May 2009

The ETF Women’s Committee consists of 1 representative for each of the 8 ETF sections and 12 members elected by the ETF Women’s Conference taking into account the need for a regional and industrial balance.

The 12 Women's Committee members are elected once every 4 years by the ETF Women’s Conference.

The Women’s Committee is represented in the ETF constitutional bodies as follows:

6 of its members are elected as women representatives in the ETF Executive Committee
1 of its members is elected as woman Vice-President of the ETF and will represent the women workers in the ETF Management Committee

In addition, the Chairperson of the Women’s Committee is an ex-officio member of the ETF Executive Committee.
