The ETF Road Transport Section takes stock of a number of needs – those related to the driver’s profession, those pertaining to the road transport sector, and those relevant to the overall trade union movement.

The fundamental value cultivated by the ETF Road Transport Section is Solidarity between ETF affiliated road transport trade unions. This will strengthen the trade union movement in the sector, it will eliminate anti-union practices, and it will ultimately eradicate any disparities in terms of wages and working conditions between drivers in Europe.

The ETF Road Transport Section acts to preserve the dignity of the driver.  A professional driver is a highly qualified individual who acts to defend the safety of both transport operations and European citizens alike.
