The Commission also published on the 21st of June its 5th report on the implementation of the driving and rest times. The period covers 2001-2002 for the EU15. While all Member States exceeded the minimum required number of inspections on lorry drivers’ working days, the number of infringements increased too. The report criticizes the differences in interpretation and application of Community rules and the lack of cooperation between Member States.
