ETF workshop on “how to address the deficit in the number of European seafarers and possible skills-gaps” – 27 April in Nantes

The ETF organises on Tuesday 27 April 2010 in Nantes (France) a thematic workshop to discuss the issue of how to address the deficit in the number of European seafarers and possible skills-gaps. It is the first thematic workshop out of three*, organised in the framework of an ETF project on “Enhancing training and recruitment in the EU shipping sector”. The workshop in Nantes will be structured in round tables where case studies, national and European practices will be presented. An open debate will involve a wide range of organisations’ representatives of the shipping world .i.e. trade unions, national administrations, shipping companies, European Institutions, universities and Maritime Academies.
