Civil aviation

The ETF Civil Aviation Section's activities focus on ensuring an inclusive and socially oriented approach to European legislation with the aim of avoiding a downward spiral in employment, job security, safety, social welfare and salary cuts in the aviation industry. These have included the Open Aviation Area (US/EU Aviation negotiations), and the "Third Package" of liberalisation, launched by the European Commission in 2003.
