Organising manual set to help increase union power

The ITF organising manual is a brand new tool to increase work participating and build union power in the workplace and across the transport industry. The manual consists of a handbook, CD and powerpoint presentations with real case studies from ITF affiliates. You can use these materials to engage workers in resolving a work-place problem, preparing for difficult negotiations, strengthening union presence in works council, or planning for a strike.  More>>

Transport toolkit

The ITF transport toolkit is a resource to help affiliates tackle the challenges of industrial restructuring in which international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank, are involved. We have developed the toolkit in partnership with Public World and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation. Read about Alana Dave, ITF education officer, talking about the transport toolkit.

Strategic campaigns manual

*Strategic Manual

The ITF has produced the strategic campaigns manual as part of a project supported by FNV Mondiaal. The manual is designed to help unions plan specific campaigns, which target either employers or government.

The manual is a step by step guide on how to plan and implement an effective campaign. Modules include identifying targets that could bring pressure to bear on the main target, developing strategies and tactics, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and case studies of actual campaigns.
