"Free Osanloo!" ITF Badge Campaign

The ITF launched its "Free Osanloo" badge campaign in conjunction with its annual Road Transport Workers' Action Week on 15-21 October 2007 where the Federation asked its members to wear the badge at work to express solidarity with Iranian workers.  It is a symbolic slogan as we know well that trade unionists such as Ebrahim Madadi and Mahmoud Salehi are also in prison along with Mansour Osanloo.

I'm wearing the badge!

Read reports of the events that took place during this campaign week and view photos of this solidarity activity.

Together with the transport workers and in particular the bus workers around the world, members of the ITUC, Amnesty International and national trade union centres such as the TUC in the UK also took part in the badge campaign.

Although the week is over, the badge campaign will continue.  Please read below for information about how you can participate.

Order the badges and join our campaign today!

What you can do:

We are calling upon our unions, and in particular the bus workers to wear the campaign badge at work.

You may also consider organising a meeting at your workplace to discuss the issue; organising an exhibition/information desk; writing an article for your journal; organising a press conference; leafleting the public; sending messages; lobbying your members of parliament; or taking any other action you consider appropriate.
