The sale process must:

1. Involve full disclosure and transparency about  the sale of TNT Logistics to the trade unions, including the terms of the sale and the identity of the buyer. The unions must be provided with the opportunity of a dialogue with the proposed buyer a reasonable time in advance of the sale.

2. Have job security as the highest priority. Any proposed job loss must be negotiated with the trade unions. Maximum job security must be maintained both during contracts and on any transfer.

3. Require the commitment of the buyer to respect and encourage trade union representation, recognition and membership activity and should:

a. Provide unions with information on worksites, workforces and collective bargaining agreements
b. Guarantee union access to workers at the workplace (own and client)
c. Be committed to non company interference when workers organize a union
d. Accept recognition of the union of the worker’s own choice
e. Maintain all existing union recognition and collective bargaining agreements
f. Protect all existing pension arrangements

4. Accept ITF/UNI participation in company dialogue on these global labour standards

5. Agree a mechanism to monitor agreement and ensure compliance nationally and gloablly

6. Apply this agreement to all TNT Logistics subsidiaries and subcontractors around the world
