For the past 8 years, ITF affiliates all over the world have organised activities on 8th March to campaign for and secure women transport workers’ rights.  

This year, the ITF campaign slogan “Rights for women, mean rights for all” reflects the ongoing debate and discussion on dealing with workplace issues and securing conditions for women transport workers - with the understanding that by doing this work, all workers benefits.

Campaign materials
To support affiliate activities for 2009 the ITF has once again produced campaign posters and stickers in English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic.

This campaign is part of a wider umbrella campaign by the International Trade Union Confederation, ITUC, who on 8th March 2008 launched a two-year Global Campaign for Decent Work, Decent Life for Women.
