Flags of Convenience campaign
For over 50 years the ITF, through its affiliated seafarers' and dockers' unions, has been waging a vigorous campaign against shipowners who abandon the flag of their own country in search of the cheapest possible crews and the lowest possible training and safety standards for their ships.
Seafarers
The ITF has been helping seafarers since 1896 and today represents the interests of seafarers worldwide, of whom over 600,000 are members of ITF affiliated unions.
Seafarers' Trust
The ITF Seafarers Trust. It is dedicated to the spiritual, moral and physical welfare of seafarers irrespective of nationality, race or creed.
