About the role

12 Month Fixed Term Contract to Cover Maternity Leave

ITF has a 12 month opportunity for a Compliance Manager to facilitate, monitor and ensure that the organisation is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international legislation and regulations that relate to the operation of a trade union, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards to deliver good organisational outcomes.

The successful person will also oversee the risk management framework that provides operational protection of organisational systems and services through the provision of control, management and delivery of the ongoing governance requirements, including assisting the Finance, Legal and Human Resources Departments in all aspects of their work in relation to organisational governance and risk; and legislatory and regulatory compliance, and including board meetings and minutes, year-end and other filings, changes in group structure and ownership, and internal record keeping and reporting.

The successful person will also be responsible for ensuring the ITF’s full compliance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), to deliver the achievement of certification, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and other certifications as required for the further development of the organisation.

About you

Due to the nature of the organisation, being a political organisation/Global Trade Union, it is important that the successful person for this role holds high ethical standards, is methodical and diligent whilst keeping in mind the values and objectives of the organisation. Although previous experience of the Trade Union Movement is highly beneficial, it is not essential.

Specialist knowledge of risk management frameworks that provide operational protection of organisational systems and services through the provision of control, management and delivery of the ongoing governance requirements within finance, legal and human resources operations is key.

The right person for this role must be able to influence management and drive change in a positive manner whilst having the ability to challenge and feedback constructively to managers. The Team this role works with are dispersed across the world and travels frequently, so it is important that you are comfortable to work independently and collaboratively through different zone differences.

As ITF is an international organisation, the successful person needs to be happy and flexible to travel long haul across the world around no more than 25% of the time.

Salary and Benefits

ITF operates transparent pay grades. This role has been graded as B2 which offer a salary range between £51,031- £60,550 per annum, depending on experience.  Please note that this salary is fixed and non-negotiable.

ITF also offers an attractive non-performance related guaranteed bonus equating to 1/12th of your annual salary.
