Peter Greenberg has been a union activist since he began his career as a flight attendant with Continental Airlines in 2000. Shortly after joining Continental, he became involved in Local 2339-N of the International Association of Machinists (IAM) in Newark, NJ. On the local level, Peter served as Trustee, Educator, and Legislative Chair.

He also developed and conducted a union orientation program for newly hired flight attendants, most of whom are young workers. While flying and doing union work, Peter pursued graduate studies at George Washington University in Washington, DC and completed his MBA degree. He was appointed to the Headquarters staff of the Machinist Union in 2007 and currently holds the position of Research Economist. In this position he provides financial and economic analysis to support contract negotiations, lobbying, and organizing efforts. His specific areas of emphasis are the airline industry and retirement and pension issues. He is a native of Los Angeles, CA and currently lives in Washington, DC.
