Resolution on London Bombings

The Presidium Meeting of the ITF Urban Transport Committee held in Sheffield on 7 July 2005;

Sends its sincere condolences to the victims and their families who have been affected by the multiple bomb attacks to the London transport system and wishes a swift recovery of those injured;

Expresses its appreciation to those ITF affiliates and individuals from around the world who have shown their sympathy;

Opposes and condemns any form of terrorism and in particular those targeting public transport systems which put its workers and passengers in danger;

Offers its support to the transport workers in London who will be continuing their duties in the immediate future in shock, uncertainty and stress;

Demands that all perpetrators be brought to justice for their barbaric and cowardly acts.

Justice for Pedro Zamora and STEPQ
Join the ITF in calling for justice in Guatemala. Pedro Zamora, General Secretary of the Dockers' union STEPQ, was brutally murdered in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, while driving his two children from the port hospital.
