Grève des remorqueurs dans le port de Casablanca

Le [votre syndicat] a été avisé par l'ITF de la situation actuelle dans le port de Casablanca.
Nous avons appris que les équipages des remorqueurs appartenant à SCRA et OFFSHORE sont en grève depuis plus de 50 jours, ces compagnies refusant de payer les heures supplémentaires dépassant 48 heures ainsi que les heures travaillées le week-end, conformément à l'article 184 du Code du travail marocain.
Nous avons également appris que le syndicat qui représente ces travailleurs, la Fédération maritime de l'UMT, a essayé à plusieurs reprises d'engager un dialogue raisonnable avec ces compagnies pour trouver une solution au conflit. Toutefois, SCRA et OFFSHORE ne sont pas prêtes à négocier de bonne foi.
Les syndicats affiliés à l'ITF dans le monde entier sont prêts à apporter une solidarité internationale pour la défense des droits syndicaux. Nous prions par conséquent instamment le Bureau des ports et de la marine marchande d'intervenir pour veiller à ce que ces compagnies respectent les droits des syndicats d'engager des actions syndicales légitimes, respectent les législations nationales et les normes internationales du travail et finalement entament sans délai de réelles négociations pour trouver une solution raisonnable au conflit.

MODEL LETTER
Dear
Tug Boat strike in the port of Casablanca
The [YOUR UNION] has been informed by the ITF of the current situation in the port of Casablanca.
We understand that crew working on tugboats belonging to SCRA and OFFSHORE have been on strike for over 50 days over non-payment of over-time worked in excess of 48 hours and weekends, in accordance with Article 184 of Moroccan Labour code.
Additionally, we have been informed that the union representing these workers, the Maritime Federation of the UMT, has made numerous attempts to engage the companies in reasonable dialogue with the aim of resolving the dispute. However, SCRA and OFFSHORE have not been prepared to negotiate in good faith.
ITF unions around the world are committed to providing international solidarity support in defence of trade unions rights. We therefore urge the Ports Bureau and Merchant Marine Office to intervene to ensure that the companies respect the rights of unions to undertake legitimate trade union actions; adhere to national laws and International Labour standards; and immediately enter meaningful negotiations to find a reasonable resolution to this dispute.
